Addressing the recovery needs of licensed professionals

High-performing professionals who live with addiction have unique treatment needs best met through a whole-person approach that embraces evidence-based best practices to address the physical, mental, emotional and occupational impacts of addiction.

Just like our standard residential treatment program, this program provides support for men and women who are dependent on or abuse alcohol or other drugs; are experiencing life problems with substance use or abuse; and those with co-occurring disorders and substance use/abuse related issues. Beyond that, this program offers personalized addiction treatment to meet the special needs of licensed professionals.

Caring for the professional as a whole person

Upon admission to the Addiction Treatment for Professionals program, you’ll receive thorough assessments. In addition to chemical and medical assessments, you’ll receive personality evaluations and medication management.

These assessments are all carefully designed to guide a personalized care plan that integrates the most advanced treatment modalities based on the your unique needs to support your best outcomes. You’ll also receive specialized attention on identifying and defining unique work-related situations and aspects that impact your addictive behavior.

Your carefully structured day includes individual and group therapies based on the most advanced treatment models – including dialectical behavior therapy, health realization, cognitive behavioral therapies, 12 step, motivational interviewing, and SMART recovery. Specialized peer-group support and individualized work coping skills will address the unique needs of your professional situation.

Beauterre is a pastoral executive retreat center that provides a charming, sophisticated and relaxed environment that fosters self-reflection, healing and recovery. Our center helps you also stay physically active, enjoying year-round activities including a fitness center, walking trails, basketball and tennis courts, a golf practice tee and more.

Throughout your program, you and your loved ones will also receive important education, guidance and therapy to support your lifelong recovery. Family therapy and programs play a vital role in helping you and your loved ones understand addiction, learn new coping skills and begin rebuilding relationships.

Your continuing care plan will include carefully coordinated return-to-work assessment and preparation, including support to meet regulatory and licensing requirements. You will also receive phone and online support for a year following your time at Beauterre – a lifeline to care and support to establish a firm foundation for lifelong recovery.

I would not be here today if it wasn’t for Beauterre and the care I got… Some things work for individuals and some things don’t, but you’ll find what you’re looking for at Beauterre.

If you’d like, we also offer a self-guided assessment to explore if you have a substance abuse concern. Part of our admissions process includes a formal assessment to determine if residential treatment is an appropriate step, so you can reach out to us at any time of day to start the conversation.

You will not be able to work at the facility. This is a time that you are taking to focus on yourself and your recovery without the distractions of day-to-day life.
